Of the 800+ species available, we’ll examine several that are hardy enough for the UK and how they can be used to great effect in your garden as a beautiful specimen, a screen, windbreak, for firewood production and cut foliage. You’ll learn to select the right Eucalypt for your requirements, how they need to be grown and trained in a garden or landscape setting, to avoid the pitfalls associated with this species. A light hearted tour through 7 myths or misconceptions about Eucalyptus and why they are really the good guys. A further discussion on Eucalyptus for garden and landscape and the wide role they play in our everyday lives can take the talk up to 90 minutes, if required. Question and answer session to finish. Approximately 1 hour lecture.
Price for 2018: £200 + vat add on £50 + vat for the expanded talk of 90 minutes plus travelling expenses (charged per mile) and additional cost of overnight accommodation if more than 150 miles drive from Worcester in any direction
Each talk above can be expanded by a further 30 minutes by the inclusion of a hands-on practical ‘scratch ‘n sniff’ session, where we introduce everyone in the audience to 6 or more different species, each one with a different aroma and foliage type.
Price: An additional £70 + vat to any of the talks above. Please note, due to the work involved, this item cannot be inserted in as part of a one hour lecture or offered as a stand alone product.
Equipment that needs to be supplied by the host: electricity supply, digital projector and screen for my lap top computer, plus a table. Microphone for large Halls.
