Planting Position and Soil

Eucalyptus deglupta is not hardy. Unless you are lucky enough to leave somewhere where there is never a frost, this must be grown in a pot and brought into a frost free greenhouse or conservatory for the winter. In tropical climates, it can grow into a very, very big tree so be prepared to prune it hard on a regular basis. We find it best to prune it back hard before bringing it inside in the Autumn and then tidying up the new growth in the spring – this is not the best regime for the health of the tree, so sometimes this will kill them, which is always very sad!

How to Use

Best grown in a pot and enjoyed on your patio or in a large conservatory.
