Description
Why is Rootgrow essential?
In our Nursery, Container trees are given all the water and nutrients they need via fertilisers and irrigation to produce a beautiful, healthy specimen ready for you to plant in your garden.
As soon as your plant is placed in the ground all that TLC stops and it has to find its own equilibrium with the soil and the environment. The first thing it will look to for help is mycorrhizal fungi. A sprinkle of rootgrow™ used at planting time will provide a lifetime of benefits.
The rootgrow™ granules must come into direct contact with the roots of the plant:
- Sprinkle into the bottom of the planting pit after backfilling (if necessary) to correct the depth, but before adding the tree’s rootball.
- Press some onto the sides of the rootball before planting.
- Scatter the last few granules into the hole next to the rootball, as you are backfilling around the tree.
The fungi will ‘hatch’ out of it’s dried state and go hunting for roots so it must be in close proximity to your tree. Give the fungi 4 days to wake up and smell the coffee, I mean, Eucalyptus… before watering the tree with Alg-A-Mic Seaweed Biostimulant to supercharge the fungi and your new tree.
